COMPLETE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

The children took time out last week to create and design valentine cards for Senior’s in the Boston area.  Talysha, Sean and Jamali made some great designs and had very kind words to say.  All participants have been working hard on their homework and enjoying board games and gym class.  The Cast Program is from 2:30-6:00pm.  There are still slots available for anyone interested.  Cost is $80 month.  Call for further information @ (617) 635-5110.

GYM NOTES

INSTRUCTIONAL BASKETBALL

Registration was held last week for our 5-7-year-old instructional basketball.  At this time the class is full to capacity and a waiting list has been established.  The children will begin classes this week and will focus on the fundamentals of basketball; shooting, passing and dribbling.

TOTS GYM

It was a busy last week with the younger participants.  They enjoyed Keep it Up with a large beach ball as well as tennis and bowling.  Tot stars of the week were Ronan Foley and Corey Radzik.

YOUTH FLOOR HOCKEY LEAGUE

BCYF-Tynan kicked off the 2017 hockey season last week.  In the first game the Leafs took on the Red Wings.  Red Wings took an early lead and never looked back, taking the victory, 6-2.  Jerry O’Neil netted 4 goals for the Red Wings and Andrew Erico and Kate Greene score a goal apiece for the Leafs.  In the following game the Capitals defeated the Wild by the score of 7-3.  Terry Markos had a strong game for the Capitals scoring 5 goals.  Mac McMillen had 2 goals and Liam Long 1 goal for the Wild.  The final game turned out to be a thriller between the Kings and Penguins.  With less than a minute to go in regulations, the Penguins scored to tie it up.  Neither team could score in the overtime so we proceeded to a shootout.  Rocco Blasi  came up big for the Kings scoring the winning goal.

4:20 Red Wings vs. Penguins
