The heavy snow storm last weekend was big enough for schools to be cancelled according to the City of Boston. But James, Bobby and Addis McFarlen from K Street, pictured in the photo, decided they would make good use of their free time, grabbed shovels and were found clearing the icy snow from this fire hydrant on Sixth Street in Southie. They did a great service and made things safer for the surrounding neighbors. In the event of a fire in the area, the Fire Department would have easy access to the water supply to put out the blaze.
