Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is hosting a boatload of free events this summer, including harbor island excursions on Bay State Cruise Company’s flagship Provincetown II. All are welcome aboard to enjoy a ride to Georges or Spectacle Islands. These free “Share the Harbor” cruises are open to the public and depart on Mondays at 10am from the dock at the World Trade Center in Boston’s Seaport. Save the Harbor is also hosting free “Life’s a Beach” festivals all summer long on the region’s public beaches from Nahant to Nantasket. These community events will feature trapeze artists, acrobats, jugglers, and performing pirates. “Thanks to our partners at Bay State Cruise Company, the Boston Circus Guild, and the Department of Conservation & Recreation, life will definitely be a beach this summer,” said to Bruce Berman, Director of Strategy & Communication at Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. “The best way we know to “Save the Harbor” is to “Share the Harbor” with the public with free events and programs like these.”
