An outdoor walking tour highlighting South Boston’s Carson Beach and its waterfront history will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If the outdoor temperature is mild, the tour will also include a trek up G Street Hill (a relatively steep hill) to Dorchester Heights. Sponsored by Friends of the Boston Harborwalk (FBHW), this free event will be led by Mike Manning, FBHW chairman.
The tour begins and ends at the Edward J. McCormack Bath House at Carson Beach, located at 165 William J Day Boulevard in South Boston. While admission to the tour is free, space is limited. So RSVP only if you plan to attend. Your RSVP will also allow the tour organizers to contact you in case of inclement weather.

Nearest T stop is JFK/UMass on the Red Line, with approximately a half-mile walk to the McCormack bath house. There are two large public parking lots with free parking nearby. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your own water bottle.
The FBHW is a volunteer organization, affiliated with Boston Harbor Now, that regularly hosts educational tours and other events along Boston’s 43-mile Harborwalk. The group’s mission is to promote public enjoyment and local stewardship of the Boston Harborwalk.
