WHAT: On Tuesday, May 1, 9-5pm, join Friends of Fort Point Channel and District Hall for a one day marketing conference for local artists, presented as part of ArtWeek 2018.
Art CAMP is a one-day conference focused on giving artists essential practical marketing skills that they can immediately implement to boost their brand, sales, and visibility of their business. Through focused introductions to entrepreneurial concepts, artists will walk away with tangible takeaways, skills, and resources to help them market themselves and their art more effectively. This conference is open to professional and semi-professional artists with an interest in taking their marketing to the next level.
In the evening, all Art CAMP attendees plus the general public are invited to join us for a special panel discussion co-presented by SPARK Boston. Chief Chat: Representation in the Arts will feature Julie Burros, City of Boston Chief of Art and Culture; Catherine Morris, Founder and Executive Director of BAMS Fest; and Sneha Shrestha, City of Boston AIR Fellow. The discussion will be about how Boston area artists can promote themselves and their communities with a focus on inclusivity and representation. This panel is from 6-8pm at Industrious (22 Boston Wharf Rd) and is free and open to all with registration.
Look for the official schedule and lineup of speakers to be released in the coming weeks.
