In the spirit and passion of the Lithuanian founders of the original St. Peter School over 60 years ago, St. Peter Academy was created and became the successor organization in June 2004 during school closings by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. Now located at 371 West Fourth Street in South Boston in a building purchased in 2005, it owes its existence to the unbridled commitment of a core group of parents, faculty, staff and board members who believed that access to a quality education for their children in a safe and nurturing environment was worth the effort to sustain and support family life in our community.
Today, a team of exceptional teachers spearhead an enviable curriculum, supported by a vitally active Board of Directors and rounded out by a troupe of talented and fully engaged families. The school is recognized around the City for the quality of its graduates for compelling reasons: St Peter Academy educates its students through a rigorous curriculum that challenges students to think critically and provides opportunities for deeper learning, creative thinking, and acceptance of responsibilities as a firm basis for developing articulate morally grounded leaders for the future.
