Preparations and tryouts are underway for the big annual St. Patrick’s Day Boxing Show to be held this year at Peter Welch’s Gym at 371 Dorchester Ave here in South Boston.
Tryouts are still being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 7:30pm and will again be held this Saturday beginning at 1pm and Sunday at Noon.
All tryouts are free for every young man and young lady participating in this year’s show. All boxers will be matched by age, weight and experience and must report to Peter Welch’s Gym with shorts, sneakers and mouth guard.
