Annual Blessing Of Our Lovable Family Pets!
Thursday, October 4, 2018 was the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of all God’s Animals and many of our students, families and friends from South Boston Catholic Academy brought their lovable family pets to this Annual Blessing of the Animals in honor St. Francis. We had a cat, a hamster, a lizard and of course many dogs. Father Tom Olson, our Parochial Vicar, loved seeing all the family pets the children brought to be blessed and said a special prayer, in memory of St. Francis, for all the pets, children, families and friends that came to this very special annual school event.
