Well another year has begun…unfortunately in all the years that I have been involved with soccer, this was the worst weather on Opening Night. However, the first weekend of play had terrific weather. Welcome to all the players and coaches. And a big thank you to all the sponsors.
REMINDERS:
PLAYERS & PARENTS:
All children must wear shin guards in order to play. Please no big bows in the hair and no hats.
Pleases keep away from the nets when the children are playing their game. We know you want to help your child if they are in goal but most kids get distracted. No smoking near the field. Please go outside the park if you want a cigarette. Finally, remember to have fun.
COACHES:
If you have the first game of the day, please be at the field early to help set up the field. If you have the last game of the day, please put all the equipment away. Please fill out your score sheets correctly and turn them into the clubhouse (there is a box on the counter) or to Dianne Horne at 373 West 2nd Street by Sunday evening.

LOVEY’S LEAGUE
The Southie Shamrocks sponsored by Councilor Ed Flynn beat out their opponent with goals scored by Lakin Haigh, Smith Southland, Emily Lyons and Griffin Holmen. Caden Matthews, Ari Nazari, Graham Kelly and Willa Walsh were the MVP’S for their team.
Lovey’s League played a terrific game. All the players did an outstanding job.

MIKE FLAHERTY CLUB
The team sponsored by the Matthew Coyne Club were victorious this week with some great playing by Alyssa Lake, Sami D’Agnese and Jonathan Polino.
The team sponsored by Councilor Michael Flaherty played an outstanding game.

The Lightning Bolts sponsored by Massport beat out their opponent with goals by Bear Jamaican and Amelia “Mille” Keach. Jace Raukohl and Jaxon McCarty did an outstanding job bringing the ball up and down the field.
The team sponsored by Billy Flaherty’s Gang played an awesome game. The entire team turned in a superb performance.
