It was a glorious Halloween evening last Wednesday as thousands of Ghosts and Goblins appeared on East and West Broadway for the Annual “Trick or Treat on Broadway” festivities. This year’s costumes were truly amazing and often creative.
Now a traditional event that families look forward to, because of the safe environment that provides great fun-filled trick or treating, the laughter and smiles could be heard and seen throughout the 2- hour haunt.
Sponsored and organized by the South Boston Chamber of Commerce and with the cooperation and generosity of Broadway business owners who provide a wide variety of tasty treats to the kids, this year was another spooktacular time.
Helping keep traffic in check were members of the Boston Police department, which this year even brought in new cadets to control passing motor vehicles. Under the direction of Captain Joseph Boyle, the BPD did an excellent and very professional job. The weather held out for the most part, though a bit chilly. But even the chill couldn’t dampen the good time that everyone of every age seemed to be having. This is what can be called real Halloween excitement. Kudos to all involved in the planning and organizing and to all the scary characters that came out to make the 2018 Trick or Treat on Broadway another big success.
